Have you listened to “Music of Night”? Well in this event “hearing is believing” as (hopefully) we tune in to an often unseen community living among us – amazing microbats.
Join your guides for a discovery walk at Kalinga Park. Learn about microbats and their needs whilst listening out for our insectivorous neighbours.
Please wear enclosed shoes, bring a water bottle and torch.
We are grateful to Titley Scientific for their generous loan of bat detecting equipment which will allow us to ‘listen in’ on echolocation calls of microbats and experience them visually via sonagrams.
Please register via Humanitix link below if you intend to come; we can only deal up 45 participants.
Hosted by Brisbane Catchments Network and Kedron Brook Catchment Branch.
